My Treasure Diary - 6th March 2006
The silver medieval brooch I found back in November has been returned to me after being disclaimed. On February 3rd I received a notification from the Coroners court that it would be returned to me after 28 days had passed unless objection was received from the owner of the land.
I took it with me to give to the landowner yesterday along with the description and report from Caroline McDonald, my local Finds Liaison Officer.
He was very pleased as he has an avid interest in the history of the land he owns.
The find is now also on the PAS database
